2026 8th International Conference on Energy Systems and Electrical Power(ICESEP 2026)
wrapped up successfully in Wuhan!
From June 5 to 7, 2026, the 8th International Conference on Energy Systems and Electrical Power (ICESEP 2026) was successfully held at the Junshan Campus of Wuhan University of Technology. Sponsored by IEEE and Wuhan University of Technology, and organized by the National Graduate College for Engineers, Wuhan University of Technology, the conference received strong support from more than 20 academic journals, including Smart Power, Power System Protection and Control, High Voltage Engineering, Integrated Intelligent Energy, and Southern Energy Construction. The conference attracted nearly 200 experts and scholars, fostering a rich academic atmosphere.

On the morning of June 6, the conference officially commenced. The opening ceremony was presided over by Professor Hui Hou of Wuhan University of Technology, followed by the opening address delivered by Professor Changjun Xie, General Chair of the conference and Executive Dean of the National Graduate College for Engineers, Wuhan University of Technology. Dean Xie shared his "dual identity"—as both the Executive Dean of the College and the Deputy Director of the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone Administrative Committee—highlighting how this role perfectly echoes the conference's core mission of "bridging industry-academia-research integration and bringing academic research face-to-face with industry." He also emphasized that Wuhan University of Technology is committed to translating scientific research into industrial practice, while the Wuhan Economic & Technological Development Zone provides the best "testing ground" for cutting-edge technologies. It is hoped that through university-locality collaboration, mutual empowerment can be achieved.
